I wrote an article for agnes films: a community of women filmmakers. This valuable resource and space for female filmmakers is the brainchild of Alexandra Hidalgo and Denah Johnston. I am incredibly grateful for their tireless efforts in advancing the work of women.

We are taking the next exciting step for SUPERNATURAL. After shooting preliminary footage for two years and raising over $6000 at an intimate fundraiser this past February, we officially launched a Kickstarter campaign!

This November, I begin principal photography on my next feature documentary about a Japanese gospel choir. After months of training, the choir travels to the U.S. to perform in African-American megachurches.

My most recent micro-documentary! In making it, I learned that working with former gang members is easier than working with 7th grade students. But reliving-middle-school-stress aside, documenting this remarkable and innovative program with a crackerjack team of arts administrators was wholly and deeply rewarding.

Year 2 wrapped and now Center Theatre Group and I embark on the final year of documenting their Middle School Playwriting Program. It's been exhilarating. All eyes, minds, and hearts are now focused on the student culmination in Spring 2012.
